Like ABT-894, ABT-560 is an α4β2 subtype-selective nicotinic receptor agonist stemming from an earlier drug discovery collaboration with Abbott. Under the licence agreement, Abbott has evaluated this drug candidate in Phase I studies aiming for continued development of the product to treat cognitive disorder related to among other Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and depression.
